Craig Griffin & Lord traces its origins from the Newmarket law firm founded in 1929 by C S Craig. Charlie Craig became a well-known figure in the development of the Newmarket business community and was a Newmarket Borough Councillor for a number of years. He was the only solicitor in Newmarket for more than 20 years until his nephew Ross Craig joined the firm from Dunedin in 1954. Ross is still associated with the firm as a Consultant.
Our main office is now in Mount Eden with on-site car parking near Auckland’s major transport routes allowing for easy access for visitors. A branch office operates at Silverdale for the convenience of clients on the North Shore.
The current partners, David Griffin & Chris Lord, have more than 60 years of practical legal experience between them. This is more than doubled when Ross Craig’s 54 years and our property Legal Executive Noeleen Taylor’s 20 years are included. At the other end of the scale the firm also has a young and energetic group of staff solicitors keeping up with the latest trends in legal practice.
For clients with interests outside the Auckland region, we have access to a network of select law firms in principal cities and towns we have dealt with throughout New Zealand who are available to assist where necessary.
